Calories and Body Weight

Calories is defined as a unit of measurement for the amount of energy that is released from food upon oxidation by the body.

According to the calories calculatorhttp://pediatrics.about.com/library/bl_calorie_calc.htm , I need 1,800-2,200 kilocalories per day. In order to keep my weight, I must not eat food more than about two thousand kilocalories.

I try to calculate my calories intake with the calories calculator, http://www.caloriescount.org/cgi-bin/calorie_calculator.cgi
For example, I eat the following types of food today.

  1. chips

  2. chicken

  3. rice

  4. bread

So, I can conclude that I take more/less than I need. So I will gain/ loss weight if I keep my eating pattern for some time.
